Books, Unity and Hope: Rotaract's Heartwarming Fundraising at Arellano University

On December 10, 2024, Arellano University came alive with a vibrant three-day event where all academic clubs showcased their organizations through creatively designed booths.

Among them, our club hosted a meaningful book fair, featuring items generously donated by a fellow Rotaractor who is now a young professional psychiatry nurse in California. The books and other items, shipped all the way from the US, were sold to raise funds for various club projects. A significant portion of the proceeds was allocated to support a heartwarming gift-giving event for children in Tondo, scheduled for December 13.

Theft accounts for 31% of these crimes, followed by physical injury, robbery, murder, rape, motorcycle theft, and homicide. While many safety tools exist, such as Dial 911, whistles, pepper sprays, and batons, these may not always be accessible in critical moments. This is where the importance of self-reliance and personal safety skills comes into play.
