Bantay Kalusugan for Every Juan: RAC Arellano University Brings A Day of Health and Hope
In a concerted effort to bridge health disparities in underserved areas, the Rotaract Club of Arellano University, in partnership with the Bureau of Quarantine, hosted the "Bantay Kalusugan for Every Juan" project on January 26, 2025. This initiative was specifically designed to deliver essential medical services and education to the indigenous communities of Tarlac, proving to be a cornerstone of community service and healthcare advocacy.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Salvador, the AU Rotaract Club School Adviser, who also serves as a staff member at the Bureau of Quarantine. Under his guidance, a team comprising 18 medical practitioners from the Bureau joined forces with Rotaract volunteers to execute this high-impact project. The day began with the team leaving Manila at 6:00 AM and concluded with their return at 9:00 PM, marking a full day dedicated to health service.

Mulat-Mata Cataract Surgery Program
Since 2008, the Mulat-Mata Project has been our flagship project. It aims to provide free cataract surgeries to indigent Filipinos – from farmers, informal settlers, and war veteran.
This initiative has evolved through the years. RCMD constructed an outpatient clinic in Quezon City in 2011 that provides free cataract surgeries for indigent patients every other month.
To date, the program has helped 15,798 individuals with eye problems. A total of 1,034 cataract surgeries and 268 minor surgeries of the eyes have brought clearer vision and better lives to our patients in need.
