First Ever STEM Talks Launched at Makati Science High School

September 23, 2016 — We held our very first episode of STEM talks in Makati Science High School last Friday at the Makati Science High School.  It focused on Science and we had Dr. Reinabelle Reyes give a keynote speech and answer Science-related questions from students. Dr. Reyes is a 28-year-old astrophysicist who was able to prove Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity on a cosmic scale.

STEM Talks is an initiative by the Rotary Club of Makati Dasmariñas under one of Rotary International's focus areas which is to Support Education.

STEM Talks is a series of career talks that is designed for high school students and centered on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. In these talks, industry leaders share their experiences and lend their thought leadership and expertise to the youth.

RCMD aims for STEM Talks to happen in a different school every month to be able to reach as many of the youth as possible.
