Literacy is on Its Way to South Cotabato

October 6, 2016 —Today, we donated a lot of books for the children of South Cotabato who are doing their best amidst a backdrop of insurgency and counter-insurgency operations in their part of the world.

Parents and teachers from municipalities like Tupi are working together through their PTA Associations to ensure that their children achieve literacy and make their way to higher order thinking skills and a better, peaceful life. These books, once mobilised through a mobile library, will become leaning tools for approximately 60,000 children.

With initiatives like this, we fulfil Rotary’s object of serving humanity, specifically through two focus areas: Supporting Education and Literacy as well as Promoting Peace. With you, we can do more!
