A Wednesday of Wins! (Part 2) - Heart Valve Operation

Here's a mid-week miracle -- one of our Club Directors, Dr. Gerb Ignacio, successfully performed a triple heart valve operation on one patient under our Alay Buhay Heart Valve Program. The patient was a young mother of a 2-year old child. Dr. Gerb had to change two valves -- the aortic valve and mitral valve -- because of an infection in the area; and then fix another valve, the tricuspid valve of the patient. The operation took a gruelling 6 hours and we are so relieved and delighted that our patient is now in stable condition!
