Doubling Down in Batangas

Saturdays are usually golf or “sleep-catch-up” days for me. But last Saturday – August 16 – was different. A month ago, Past District Governor Joji Tan invited me to join her and President Tet de Guzman for a trip to San Juan, Batangas to touch base with Past President Benjhie Tayag (of the Rotary Club of Parañaque), inventor and proponent of the artificial reef technology, and Marine Biologist Dr. Miguel Azcuna, PhD of the Batangas State University, to meet with San Juan, Batangas local government officials and Batangas Rotarians for another potential site to lay several hundred artificial reefs for our coral reef restoration project similar to what RCMD did in Bauan, Batangas.
